Edge Express

File Preparation

• JPEG files prepared at either 300 or 400 dpi
• Numbering of files to be 01, 02, 03, 04 etc not 1, 2, 3, 4
• Be aware that 2-3mm can be lost around the edges when guillotining
• Some image will be lost in the gutter of side stitched books, therefore be careful with double page spreads
• Hard Photo Covers need to be prepared with and extra 1″ all around plus approx. 1/2″ for the spine. For example, an 11×14 portrait orientation book will have the cover image prepared to 24.5 x 16″ but only 23″x14.5″ will be visible as the rest will wrap around the inside. Therefore do not have type or anything important close to the edges.
• A Dust Jacket for the same size book would be 31″ x 14.5″ which has a 4″ wrap around at each end

Ordering using Edge Express

Prior to uploading your files to us, please check your files are sized correctly and saved as JPEGs.

1. Tick Digital Press Process in Order Type
2. In the Print Detail Box, leave Quantity as 1, and leave the size set to 2.5 x 3.5
3. Add your images (ensure no illegal characters have been used in the file or folder names such as !@#$%^&*(){}<>)
4. Click SEND
5. In the Order Instructions window type additional information such as quantity, size, hard or soft cover, matt or gloss lamination if required.
6. Please allow 7-10 working days for service to be completed

** When ordering using Edge Express, adding your images should be the last step before sending.
